Compact Substation

Compact Substation

Product Overview

An integrated power distribution facility that realizes bidirectional voltage conversion—stepping down high-voltage electricity for user distribution or stepping up low-voltage electricity to integrate into the power grid. It is composed of three core components: high-voltage switchgear, transformers, and low-voltage switchgear, following a “factory prefabrication, on-site direct use” model to simplify deployment.

Key Specifications:

Rated capacity: Up to 20 MVA.

Voltage range: Up to 33 kV (compatible with common medium-voltage grades for distribution scenarios).

Cooling method: Oil Natural Air Natural (ONAN)—relying on natural convection of insulating oil and air for heat dissipation, suitable for medium-capacity loads and reducing reliance on external cooling equipment.

Functional Division: The overall box-type structure is divided into 6 independent functional rooms, which can meet the configuration requirements of intelligent prefabricated substations and support clear separation of high-voltage, transformer, and low-voltage systems for safe operation and maintenance.

Advantage

Ultra-Compact & Space-Saving Small overall size, with a footprint only about 1/3 of European-style transformers; significantly reduces land occupation and civil construction costs, making it ideal for space-constrained scenarios (e.g., urban centers, high-rise basements).

High Safety & Environmental Adaptability Low noise/radiation: Transformers are placed in fully enclosed boxes, minimizing operational noise and electromagnetic radiation to meet residential and commercial environmental requirements. High protection level: Resists heavy salt spray, dust, and harsh weather, applicable to coastal areas, industrial zones, and remote mining areas. – Comprehensive protection: Supports terminal-type and ring network power supply modes, with built-in high-voltage protection mechanisms to avoid faults such as overcurrent and short circuits.

Cost & Efficiency Optimization Factory pre-integration reduces on-site installation time and labor costs; ONAN cooling avoids energy consumption of mechanical cooling systems, lowering long-term operation costs.

Wide Compatibility Matches multiple industry scenarios and can be customized according to user voltage, capacity, and wiring requirements—compatible with both urban distribution and industrial power supply demands.

Application

Leveraging its compact design, environmental adaptability, and multi-scenario compatibility, it is widely used in:

Industrial Sectors: Chemical, pharmaceutical, steel, textile, plastic, cement, refinery, and mining industries—supporting stable power supply for production lines.

Energy Projects: Captive power projects, hydropower projects, wind farms, and renewable energy (photovoltaic) supporting facilities—matching medium-voltage distribution needs of new energy grid connection.

Urban & Civil Scenarios: Construction sites (temporary power), residential communities, commercial buildings, and electrical/electronics parks—saving land and adapting to dense population areas.

Special Environments: Coastal areas (salt spray resistance) and remote industrial zones (dust resistance)—meeting harsh environmental operation requirements.
